This will make a program run faster. i will use firefox in this tut

right click on the program shortcut u want to run faster and select properties from the menu

in the target field add /prefetch:1 to the very end

So originally, the Target Field shows:

Code:

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

You are going to make it show:

Code:

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /prefetch:1

make sure there is a space between the" and the /

hit apply and ok or just ok and ur program shuld run faster

I just try it with nero and it load a lot faster

what the real function?
why every program not set default to this setting???

Take a look at these links and it will explain to you what it does

contains hidden content

You may reply or click 'thank you' to see hidden content

Some people like it some dont, Just do a search of the net for /prefetch:1
If it works for you, then use it

As far as I know you cant add it to a program. It must be a shortcut
