Hey i have this problem that everytime windows startup it loads everything normally(clock, windows sidebar...) but if i wanted to access anything like power settings or connection settings like network and sharing center.. it justs stops for a while, the led of the CPU stops flashing and i even can see the monitor of the ram and cpu meter which shows that there is no heavy loads on the cpu.
How could i fix such a problem i got 4 GB ram, 2.4 Core 2 duo, 1 GB VGA i guess its about the performance...

ok and then ? i entered that configuration before and i removed many applications from the auto startup but i did not remove any services
NOTE: i am using Vista business
Do you have antivirus running? thats usually the biggest slowdown, also the sidebar, how many gadgets are you running? the more the slower the start up. Other than that, as far as the services go, i would hide the microsoft ones, then go through whatever is left, referencing google if necessary to see what they are, then make the decision on what you deem as necessary. Hope this helps a little.
well infact i left this thing for a while i have many services running but i was told that i shouldn't remove them so i dunno exactly what to do but i guess there is a service that is putting all the cpu on pause for a while
