Welcome to DirtyDingo XP x86 v1.4

This release has undergone many changes since v1.1 most of which have never seen the light of day (for

many reasons) but here it is at last v1.4

For those of you who are interested here is the complete version history of this release;

DirtyDingo XP Version History:-
This will provide a limited description of what features were part of each version along with an

The unattended setup has been re-added to the install becuase I can not find a way to fully remove and

re-enable the repair option for XP.
Also IE8 Beta 1 has been removed becasue I beleive it caused problems during the install so gone back to

IE7 instead (IE8 Beta 1 can be downloaded
from Microsoft for free with this edition of XP since it passes the WGA check automatically with no

patch or crack needed)

The unattended setup has been removed because it is disabling the repair option in XP during the initail

setup.

Some of the tweaks which were made in v1.1 caused problems so hence nothing has been removed from this

release in terms
of components of XP.

Driverpack Finisher bug has now been fixed so the KTD option now works.

Due to the unattended setup the driverpacks were not intergrated properly which did not interfere with

the install of DirtyDingo XP however,
it did mean that the KTD option (Keep The Drivers) for the Driverpacks did not work. This option allows

the drivers to be kept after the install
has finished which adds to the plug n play feature of XP.

v1.0a (Beta) (this was never released)

* Various system tweaks.
* 50,000+ drivers.
* Unattended Setup.
* System Components Removed.

Due to system instability this version was never ever released into the scene.
So What Is Part Of This Release?

There is far too much to put here however to wet your appitites here is some of what is included;

Chipset drivers
CPU drivers
Graphics drivers (including the drivers for the Acer Aspire 7720)
LAN drivers
MASS Storage drivers (text-mode for SATA support)
Sound drivers
WLAN drivers (wireless networking)

So... it has come a long already and the journey is far from over, for more detailed information on what

has been done in this release please read the .nfo included with the download it also contains important

installation information.

Also please note that the Regional Settings for this release are already set to the UK however to change

them simply goto Control Panel > Regional Settings and you can change them (it will ask for the DVD)

This has been tested on VMware Workstation v6 and on 2 physical systems.
