I re-installed XP and before doing this, backed up a lot of fonts onto cd. This time I thought I would make a note of the default xp ones so I don't delete the essential ones or have duplicates. So what are Roman, Script and Modern used for? Also, I have 2 copies of MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24 (vga res); one smaller than the other, different file versions but both created on the same date in 2001. Then there are some odd ones like Estrangelo Edessa which I always delete as I think they are used for a different alphabet? Do these change with different versions of windows?
