How do I access different machines in a local network...
...under Windows XP platform through Foxpro? Actually, I have developed one software for a pharmaceutical company but I would like to use this software on a local network. There are total eight Computers. I want to provide a facility to operate this software from all the computers but to do this, they have to log in with the proper ID (from any computer). Everbody will have their own rights.

You didn't say which version of FoxPro!? I presume it's some Visual 6-9. If you have intention to share one database with 9 PC, then you must pick one of them and there install whole VFP's app with database. Then share mentioned folder. On each of rest 8 PC then create shortcut to app. After that you must install necessary libs for VFP working on each of 8 PC. No need for IP, just be sure they are in same group.
I do so, simple and easy.:icon_boss: |
