A Windows Xp-Firewall which decrease Connection! - 07-08-2007, 11:34 AM

It might happen that your connection is caped by your Standard-Firewall, so you never achieve your full up/downstream !!! Take that allways in concideration if you use Windows Xp Sp2.

To disable WinXP Firewall ----->
Go Start ----> Control Panel -> Select Switch to Classic view
then Open up your Network Connection. Right click on your internet connection or LAN connection and
select Properties ---->Select the Advance tab

If the Internet Connection Firewall is ticked
then this might be the reason for your slow downloads.
Also it might be the reason for the status light to stay yellow,
even though you have allowed your current firewall
to allow your client to access the internet.
