Tofel is definitely better(its accepted in all canadian university)... but Gre is also accepted by most university.

TOFFEL is require for foreign student. It is part of applying for F1 student visa.GRE is required for most technical fields - engineering, science etc. Law, business and medical students have their respective exams. Some technical programs may also require subject specific GRE. Some GRE subject tests including Computer Science, Engineering etc.Best wishes.

Really depends on the school. I took the GRE thinking that I needed a minimum score, but after a year into the program the school revealed there was no minimum score. They just required the student to take the test, didnt have to pass anything. Just a waste of money, be sure that it is actually required before you spend the money.
