DVD-R or DVD+R. Sharing disks w/ DVD ROM
drives.? I am interested in buying DVD RW drive for the purpose of creating data CD's that will be more than 750MB in size. The CD's I create will be given to my co-workers, and they will attempt to read them with their computers that have DVD ROM drives. What is the best type of blank CD to use for this purpose?DVD-R DVD+RWill people with DVD ROM drives be able to read DVD-RW or DVD+RW?Perhaps I could collect the RW's from them and reformat them and provide them with program updates without having to purchase more DVD blanks.Thank you in advance.

The disc type will depend on what drive you get. If you get a DVD-R drive you'll have to get DVD-R cd's, a DVD+R = DVD+R cd's. My DVD+R won't recognize DVD-R cd's, so check to make sure what's compatible. As for the DVD-ROM drives they should be okay, unless they're older ones, then they might not recognize RW.
