synaptics pointing device problem
hello i got a problem with this device i have toshiba and it has synaptics pointing device as a device for the mouse but the problem that i can use the scroll on my mousepad anymore i dunno why i tried removing it and then i went to synaptics device website and downloaded the 32-bit version but it has the same problem.
PS: i tried the options and the whell, nothing into it .. any help ? |

Check out the Hardware
Man Did ya check out if ur mouse pad hardware is fine....if u can use all other buttons and also move the mouse then check the hardware with ur service centre....for touchpad scrolls and even the buttons tend to become loose or even stop functioning due to frequent use...........Hope this helps......

yep ..
i just checked the device manager and i have the synaptics pointing device working properly, plus now i can notice that on other laptops using synaptics too and there is a green point showing when someone is using the mousepad, its not the same in this laptop it doesnt show anything.. i dunno .. but even if i remove the synaptics device i can still use the mousepad but with no scroll too..:icon_boss:

i have the synaptics mouse pad driver too........it works fine.....and that option of the green point can be enabled by going to control panel->mouse->device settings->and select animated tray icon in taskbar and click apply...personally i keep it disabled think its useless.....try it...and do reply if it works........ur welcome

Do you mean an external mouse?
If it is so,i think you should try using other mouse first i i haven't had a problem with synaptics except that i can't scroll using the touch pad only if i launch a game. Basically,it works fine all the time other than when i launch a certain game. |

Man when the hell did i tell to use an external mouse.........ur touch pad has hardware prob i think......go and show it in a service center.......i have given the steps to have that animated touchpad icon active too in my above post.......try to understand it...........
