Why does my computer freeze whenever I try to load...
...streaming audio/video? As soon as I try to do almost anything once the stream is loaded -- even as little as minimizing the window -- it freezes. I have to use Ctrl-Alt-Del or turn the computer off to resolve the lockup. This happens with a wide variety of streams (MLB.com and Yahoo Launch, just to name a couple). It happens in IE 7 and Firefox 2 -- in both cases, the browser chews up 99% of the CPU when this happens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player and Flash Player. My computer is relatively new (2 yrs, XP, 1 GB RAM) and ran well until this issue popped up a couple months ago. Any ideas? Please help ... I'm at my wits end.

This is quite odd....Well if you don't have much on the computer...I would suggest to just re-format it...that fixes everything.
But if you don't want to do that...contact Microsoft's Tech Support OR check out Google.. |
