Tuning an Alpine sound system?
I've heard a million different ways to do it, but what is the best way to tune a sound system? I will be running 6 1/2' Type R components in the front (tweeters and 6 1/2's both in door), 6X9 Type R's in back sides ('03 Eclipse GTS, replacing factory Infinity Sound system)--both running through a 100Wx4 Alpine 4-channel amp. Also, a 12' Type R sub running through a 600Wx1 Alpine sub amp (both measured RMS). All of this will be running through a CDA-9885 Alpine amp which has low-pass and high-pass filters as well as the usual bass and treble adjustments (and the adjustments on the amps as well).I have properly placed dynamat extreme throuout as well as correctly wired, even using upgraded 16ga wiring for car speakers.Where should I start with tuning this system? I don't particularly want to use test disk CD's and dB gauge made for a home theatre, but will if necessary. Please advise.
