Can I buy a different brand of desktop...
...memory ram or do I have to buy the same brand already in my desktop and I have a dell inspiron 531 desktop. It has 4 memory ram slots, 2 of them currently have two Kingston Memory 512 MB DIMM 240-pin - DDR II - 667 MHz / PC2-5300 (two 512mb memory ram). So i want to add another 1gb of memory ram in pair (two 512mb memory ram). so in total i want 2gb of memory in my desktop. So can you please help me on this too by telling me which kind of memory ram do I exactly require. And i also wanted to know what is unbuffered, buffered, CL5 and which one do i need to go for. And the memory i am buying, can it be of different brand.

You can buy any other brand that there is in the world...
But it HAS TO BE: DDR II - 667 MHz / PC2-5300 Otherwise there WILL BE compatibility issues. |
